Motorized Third Rotation Module R3
The stepper motor for Third Rotation Module R3 is used to motorize rotation of the R3 axis (around X axis). The manipulator is then supplied with microswitch limit stops as standard. Motorized R3 axis can not be operated manually without removing the stepper motor.
Motorization with stepper motors increases resolution and repeatability of the translator rotation and makes the positioning very precise and easy. Motorization can be used when travel distance is so large that manual actuation would be time consuming. Motion is operated by dedicated PC software.
The stepper motor for Third Rotation Module R3 is controlled by an electronic device SMCD10. Motorized axes of manipulator are controlled with PREVAC manipulator control software.
