We offer beam profile monitors following different functioning principles. The scope includes profile grids, wire scanners, luminescence targets and residual gas monitors. All are designed following your individual requirements.
Profile Grids
Profile Grids are for measuring the 2d transversal intensity distribution of the beam. With our design we consider the power dissipation on the wires taking the penetration depth and the power density of the incident beam into account. We do detailed thermal simulations to stay within the feasible load limits. And we take care for the thermal expansion of the wires by means of individual sprig tensioning. For high intensity cw beams it might be interesting to switch to one of our moving wire systems like our cross wire scanners.
We are flexible on wire material, pitch and diameter and sizes – customized is our standard.

Screens
Our Screens are usually mounted on a linear vacuum feedthrough or a magnetic driven flip mechanism, where the luminescence target is flipped into the beam channel. The target is screened by means of a CCD camera on air side observing the target through a vacuum window. The most commonly used material is Chromox®
